Evolve personal trainer and health coach Tracie McSwain shows Anna Young how to use the centre’s new equipment.

Locals now have more choice when it comes to their health, after Evolve Fitness and Wellbeing showcased its new and improved facilities, equipment and merchandise at an open day on Sunday.

More than 100 people attended the open day at the Hardinge St business, many trying their hand at a new exercise class or simply taking the opportunity to speak to one of the many trainers.

‘‘Boasting more space and equipment, a key highlight was the opening of the Power Studio with weights room and Revive Studio with infrared sauna,’’ Evolve marketing manager Leesa Muir said.

‘‘The infrared sauna — designed to assist with weight loss, pain and stress relief, skin care and cell health — can be booked privately for up to four people, with different packages available.

‘‘A session in the sauna is the perfect opportunity to unwind and relax as it includes full access to the Revive Studio with private shower.

‘‘With a whole new timetable and even more choices, fitness enthusiasts were also given a 15 minute taste-test of some of Evolve’s latest group fitness classes, including Yolates, BODYstep and ‘NEW’SPIN.

‘‘The open day also featured a number of lucky door prizes, giveaways and tastings of the delicious Healthy Chef smoothies.’’

Ms Muir said Evolve has some great membership offers available, with options starting from under $10 a week.

She said anyone who missed Sunday’s open day can still book a ‘VIP tour’ with one of Evolve’s knowledgeable trainers, who will guide you through all the facilities.
